Why Use A Pool Cover?

- Reduces heat loss &
water-loss by 90% or more, allowing you to swim earlier in the
Spring and later into the Autumn
- Reduces the amount of dirt, dust
and debris that enters your pool, saving you time on cleaning and
maintenance
- Minimises the amount of chemicals
required to sanitise the pool, thereby giving further savings
Up to 90% of heat loss from a swimming pool is due to
evaporation of the pool-water. The remaining heat losses can be
accounted for by conduction through the sides and bottom of the pool and
heat lost when a backwash is carried out. Cut the evaporation to
next-to-nothing and cut heat-losses by up to 90% - it's that simple!
When you have paid good money to heat a pool it makes
good economic sense fit a pool cover to conserve the heat.
If a pool is unheated it still makes good sense
to fit a pool cover because the water will warm earlier in the year and
remain warm longer into the autumn. A pool cover will give the
pool-owner a longer swimming season.
Floating Solar Covers
Floating Solar Covers are, in effect, heavy-duty,
UV-stabilised, blue bubble-wrap. Like all plastics they are affected by UV
and eventually will break down. There are several types and qualities but
we recommend the reinforced version as it will last longer.
The process of making a poolcover is this: -
We visit the pool and take accurate measurements, write out a Quotation and,
if we are awarded the work, take a deposit of 50%.
We then make a cover that is slightly larger than your pool and return it to
your property. We float the cover on the water, take a pair of scissors and a
deep breath: then cut it exactly to size. We form the cover into the curves of
the Roman End, leave cut-outs for ladder steps, etc., always complying with the
Pool Industry Safety Guidelines.
Next, we remove the cover and take it back to the factory to be dried and
edged with reinforced vinyl tape. When all work has been completed, we return to
your pool, by appointment, with the cover and roller and set the system up.
We then teach you how to operate it correctly it to get the maximum life-span
from your equipment. We can normally complete an installation in 7 - 10
working days
Please note that it is
NOT A SAFETY COVER
A Roller is also required to remove and re-place the
cover. The width for a floating pool-cover is limited to 6.6 metres as
this is the maximum width spanned by a telescopic roller. Rollers are
made from Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Brass and will last for many
years. One end is fitted with wheels to enable the roller/cover to be
moved away from the pool whilst the cover is removed.
Daisy Pool Covers
New to Spain but established for
decades in Australia - now carefully hand made in Murcia.
Daisy 500 micron covers come with an 8 year warranty and the 300 Micron covers
come with a 4 year warranty.
Daisy Covers do not need to be
edged with vinyl tape.
They are so efficient that
each cover comes with a white reflective sleeve, which protects the cover whilst
it is stored on the roller. Without the protection of the sleeve the cover could
melt in the hot sun and fuse together.
Daisy's exclusive UltraDome™
bubble technology eliminates weak points – and the supertoughened polyethylene
material resists salt, sun and chemicals - Daisy UltraDome™ is a stronger
swimming pool cover that will last longer.

also revolutionary and have an astonishing 10 year warranty!

The range of rollers includes
free-standing, fixed, wall-mounted, fully mobile (wheeled) - whatever your pool
there is a roller for you!
Winter Pool Covers
- Fixed to the surround with heavy-duty elastic
bungee straps. Keeps leaves, dirt, debris, light and wildlife out
of the pool.
We visit your pool and
measure the cover. We ask for a 50% deposit at this time as we will make a
cover to exactly fit your pool.
Our Winter covers are
hemmed all round, fitted with brass eyelets at each corner and every 50cm around
the edge, and cover the complete pool.
Winter Covers do not
need a roller but removal and replacement is a physical, time-consuming job;
therefore they are put on at the end of the season and left in situ until
spring.
Winter Covers are
fixed to the area around the pool by means of elastic bungees and
brass/stainless-steel, toe-friendly anchors.
We teach you how to
fit it and how to make it last as long as possible.
Our Winter Covers are
completely opaque bicolour vinyl in blue/black and hence no light gets to the
pool during the winter. The fabric is extraordinarily strong. Each cover has a
mesh strainer/drainage panel welded into the centre to prevent rain pooling on
the fabric.
Please note that it is
NOT A SAFETY COVER.
A child or dog can walk across the cover but this is not
recommended.
Debris/Leaf Covers
Fixed to the surround with heavy-duty elastic bungee
straps. Please note that it is NOT A SAFETY
COVER. Does not need a roller if fitted to a small pool but a
roller is recommended for pools larger than 8 x 4 metres.
